Tako kot cedra stoji pokončno pod vsakim pritiskom, tako ostajam dostojanstvena tudi, ko se ruši cel moj svet. Vsemu se odpovem, vse zapustim, čemur sem pripisala zaimek ‘moje’ ali ‘mi pripada in postala pretežka za Višave Ljubezni. Tako kot je cedrino deblo pogosto zavito in skrivenčeno, se, zaradi naporov bivanja v skromnih pogojih, se tudi vi ukrivljate v svojskost modrih.

In tako kot je cedrin les mehak, pa vseeno kljubuje okoljskemu stresu, tako tudi vi spoznavate vse večjo notranjo čvrstost, kolikor mehkejši je vaš pogled, beseda in dotik.

Characters of trees 5 – Cedar

Just as a cedar stands upright under every pressure, so I remain dignified even when my whole world is crumbling. I give up everything, I leave everything to which I attached the pronoun ‘mine’ or ‘belongs to me’ and became too heavy for the Highest Love. Just as a cedar trunk is often twisted and furrowed, due to the efforts of living in modest conditions, you too are bent into the qualities of the wise.

And just as cedar wood is soft, yet defies environmental stress, so you too realize an increasing inner solidity, the softer your eyes, word, and touch.
