3 Drobtinice iz gozdnega odmika – Ljubezen je v zraku // Love is in the air

Nikogar ni, ki ga zadrževanje v gozdu ne bi tako ali drugače oplemenitilo… morda z veseljem, jasnostjo, navdihom ali pomiritvijo. Nekaj je v gozdnem etru, kar ni najti nikjer drugje. Dolgo že bredem po skrivnostih življenja in ena največjih je gotovo naša sorodnost z drevesi. Drevesa so nam po žaru zavesti bližja kot najbolj razviti primati.

Še pred manj kot 200 leti je bil gozd naravno zatočišče človeka. V njem je našel varnost, hrano in ljubezen. Tesno povezan z ritmom gozdnega življenja je ostajal naraven tudi sam. Pred 200 leti, s pojavom mehanske znanosti in industrije, pa so pod rokami človeka padla še zadnja orjaška drevesa. Staroselska ljudstva bi v tem videla močno zmanjšanje možnosti za razcvet človeške zavesti, kajti drevesa, zaradi svoje mirne dolgoživosti, ljudem pomagajo k dvigovanju razumevanja sebe in življenja. Drevesa so nosilci pramodrosti, ki se nam skrivnostno razkrijejo, kadar odprti prisostvujemo njihovemu bivanju.


Vse do modernega človeka so ljudstva sveta poznala moč gozdnih odmikov, v katerih nekaj dni preživimo v samoti in tišini, pogosto s postenjem od hrane, govora, druženja in vsakdanjih opravil. Velik vpliv na našega duha, na notranjo klimo ima že vsakodnevni vstop v gozd, ko spustimo vse misli in skrbi ter le doživljamo mirnost in pričujočnost dreves. Naše telo je lačno tega zlitja, je njegovo najbolj naravno stanje. Brez primere pa je 9 dnevno zadrževanje v gozdu, v katerem popolnoma prepišemo vsiljen družbeni ritem iz celic telesa. Gre za celovito preobrazbo dražljajev, ki si jih privoščimo… za celovito čistko informacij, s katerimi se zasipavamo.


Bolezni, stiske, nezadovoljstvo, razočaranja… vse to je nanesen balast, ki nas duši in naravno odpade skozi daljši gozdni odmik, ne da bi karkoli naredili v to smer. Tako nas gozdi odmik zdravi, neguje in hrani, kadar se vanj ne vmešavamo s svojimi idejami o ozdravitvi in pomiritvi. To je čudovita novica za vse, ki jih poplava nasvetov spravlja v še večjo stisko.

V slabem počutju smo, kadar izgubimo mir, jasnost in odmaknjenost od zadev vsakdana. Potegnejo nas v svoj delirij in izčrpajo. Preveč časa se izpostavljamo stresu, vrvežu, hrupu, govorjenju, razmišljanju… s svojo pozornostjo zelo hitro preskakujemo iz enega opravila na drugega in živimo življenje podobno bolhi, ki nenehno skače sem in tja. Pozabili smo, da smo v resnici mirni in prisotni kot drevesa, ki trdno ukoreninjena mirujejo, le okoli njih se vse vrti. Tudi človek je po naravi v sebi mirujoč, ne glede na to, s kašnimi viharji ga življenje sooči. Njegova zavest je visoko nad valovi vsakdana in nikdar mu nič ne bi smelo spodnesti tal pod nogami.


V tem smo se ljudje pozabili, zato nam je tako lahko prodati nadomestke človeškega porekla, ki naj bi prinašala mir in zdravje. Lačni smo jasnosti, pomiritve in ljubečih navdihov, zato se zatekajmo v gozd, kadar le moremo, privijmo se h kakšnemu drevesu, izjočimo bolečino, zakurimo ogenj, lezimo na travo na robu gozda in povzdignimo misel k zvezdam, ki jih naš vrvež ne gane. Gozdna šola Hosta letos prvič pripravlja 9-dnevni gozdni odmik tudi pozimi od 25.12.2020 do 2.1.2021 v prelepi odmaknjeni lokaciji Dola pri Idriji. A flash from the forest retreat – Love is in the air


There is no one who would not be ennobled in one way or another by staying in the woods … perhaps with joy, clarity, inspiration, or reassurance. There is something in the forest ether that is not found anywhere else. I have been wandering around the secrets of life for a long time and one of the biggest is certainly our kinship with trees. Trees are closer to us by the radiance of consciousness than the most developed primates.

Less than 200 years ago, the forest was a natural refuge for man. He found security, food and love in it. Closely connected to the rhythm of forest life, he remained natural himself. Today, only 2% of the original biodiversity remains on earth, of which only a small part is inhabited by forests. 200 years ago, with the advent of mechanical science and industry, the last giant trees fell under the hands of man. Indigenous peoples would see in this a sharp reduction in the chances of a flourishing of human consciousness, for trees, because of their peaceful longevity, help people to raise an understanding of themselves and life. Trees are the bearers of primordial wisdom, which are mysteriously revealed to us when we openly attend their existance.

All the way to modern man, the peoples of the world knew the power of forest retreats, in which we spend a few days in solitude and silence, often fasting from food, speech, socializing, and daily chores. Daily walks into the forest has great influence on our spirit and personal mood, especially when we let go of all thoughts and worries and only experience the peace and presence of the trees. Our body is hungry for this fusion, it is its most natural state. Unprecedented, however, is a 9-day stay in the woods, in which we completely transcribe the imposed social rhythm from the cells of the body. It’s a complete transformation of the stimuli we indulge in … a complete cleansing of the information we are exposed to.

Sickness, distress, dissatisfaction, disappointments … all of this is applied ballast that suffocates us and naturally falls off through a longer forest retreat without doing anything in that direction. Thus, the forest retreat heals, nurtures and nourishes us when we do not interfere with it with our ideas of healing and reassurance. This is wonderful news for anyone who is put in even greater distress by the flood of tips.

We feel unwell when we lose peace, clarity, and detachment from the affairs of everyday life. They drag us into their delirium and exhaust us. Too much time we are exposed to stress, hustle and bustle, noise, talking, thinking … with our attention we very quickly jump from one task to another and live a life like a flea that is constantly jumping here and there. We have forgotten that we are in fact calm and present like trees that are firmly rooted, only everything revolves around them. Man, too, is by nature at rest in himself, no matter what storms life confronts him with. His consciousness is high above the waves of everyday life and nothing should shake him.

We humans have forgotten about this, so it is so easy sell substitutes of human origin to us, that are supposed to bring peace and health. We are hungry for clarity, reassurance and loving inspiration, so we should seek first refuge in the forest whenever we can, cling to a tree, cry out in pain, light a fire, lie on the grass at the edge of the forest and raise our minds to the stars not moved by our hustle and bustle.
